Looking for a way to pull away from the crowd? Try Volkswagen's 2017 Volkswagen CCR-Line Executive with Carbon Sedan. with its presence, Audi-like ambiance, and brisk acceleration and plenty of value, you won't be disappointed.   Ours had a base price of $37,820, with delivery costs, it totaled $38,685. It has a 2.0 liter TSI DOHC Turbo, four cylinder direct injection engine. As is the case with just about all Volkswagens, expect the CC to deliver tight, responsive handling, strong braking, swift acceleration and just a blast to drive overall. It is pretty good on the gas, too: 25 miles per gallon overall, 22 city, 31 highway, annual fuel costs are $1,700 for driving 1,000 miles a year with $2.50 a galloon gas.  It takes four gallons to drive 100 mile, and you will spend $1,500 more in fuel costs over five years compared with the average new car. The CC's raison d'etre is styling--period.  It brings some luxurious snap to the VW lineup, which is quite heavily sportiness oriented. It was introduced a number of years ago, when every car company, shocked and amazed at Mercedes' breathtaking CLS sedan, rushed to the drawing board to come out with something similar. The CC was the best of the knock-offs in my view, but time has brought so many similar designs that it has lost its clout to some extent. The interior room is tight, and you may find yourself struggling to see out of it to back up or park, but....heads will turn when you drive past! The 2017 Volkswagen CC  comes in Sport and R-Line Executive versions, with the Sport having power adjustable heated front seats, dual  zone automatic climate control.  The R-Line Executive is the lap of luxury with a panoramic sunroof, leather seating and all the latest safety technology that helps avoid collisions. If you would like, try an optional R-Line Executive with Carbon package which gets you a carbon-fiber trimmed interior and beautiful glossy black paint exterior. The CC comes standard with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is completed by a  a six-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Sport comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, foglights, rain-sensing wipers, heated washer nozzles, power-adjustable and heated side mirrors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, keyless entry, push-button ignition, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, power-adjustable and heated front seats, 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks and premium vinyl upholstery. Also standard are dual-zone climate control, a rearview camera, VW Car-Net smartphone integration, Bluetooth, satellite radio, a 6.3-inch touchscreen display, navigation, and an eight-speaker audio system with USB/auxiliary/SD card inputs. The R-Line Executive is upgraded with 18-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, unique exterior styling and doorsill plates, power-folding and heated side mirrors, driver-seat memory settings, steering-wheel paddle shifters and leather seating. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and VW Car-Net App Connect app services also come standard. Safety equipment is generous, but not particularly different  from what you get with most cars these days. Front and side airbag, supplemental restraint systems for driver and front passenger, side curtain protection head impact airbags, three point safety belts for all passengers, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, intelligent crash response safety system, lower anchors and tethers or children, and tire pressure monitoring system are among the safety features standard on this car. Low, sleek and very expensive looking, the CC will please owner and parking valets alike. But the design also means tough sight lines and rearward vision that can be dicey. Fortunately it comes with a rearview camera to help things out. VW has you covered with this car: 3 years/36,000 mile limited bumper to bumper warranty, 5 year/60,000 mile limited powertrain warranty,3 years/36,000 mile roadside assistance package. The CC may not be your ride of choice if you need lots of interior room, or if you are a stickler for seeing all four fenders, but otherwise, don't be surprised if you are star-struck by this beauty.
