If you’ve just purchased a new small SUV for around $20,000 to $25,000, and did not check out the all--new 2011 Kia Sorento, we have bad news for you. You made a mistake. 2011 kia sorento Kia is out to make all kinds of mischief for its competitors, offering more for less, and the Sorento is a prime exhibit for that very thing. For the same price you may have paid for that small SUV or crossover of yours, you missed a crossover which has more room, more features, and yes, more value than you got. And if you’re not value minded in these hard times, you’re awfully unique. And chances are, by the way, the Sorento has a much longer warranty than you got--the Sorento   warranty is a 10 year/100,000 mile one. But like several new models like the Forte and the Soul, the Sorento is a car you’ll want just because you want it, not because it’s a good value. Kia has not worked itself well into “gotta have it” territory wiih the Sorento, which has prices that start just under $20,000. You can even get a top of the line, four cylinder EX model with front wheel drive just under $25,000! Our test model was the Sorento EX with all wheel drive and even a DVD player. 2011 kia sorento Power for the new Sorrento comes from either a 2.4-liter, 175 horsepower four-cylinder engine, or a 3.5 liter, 276 horsepower, V-6.. The base model has a six-speed manual transmission, while the others get a six-speed automatic. Acceleration is brisk with the V-6, but we’re told the four feels somewhat sluggish given the weight of the Sorento. The fit and finish on the Sorento is quite impressive, too. Everything fits, nothing is misaligned, the two tone beige and dark gray/brown leather seats with tan piping was just beautiful and looked like what you’d see in a much more expensive luxury crossover. There’s nice ambiance lighting in various spots of the interior, and there’s tasteful hints of brushed aluminum and satin finishes here and there, too. All the controls were quite intuitive, and nothing could be easier top operate than the audio system and the climate controls. And by the way, the audio system was a really  good one, too. 2011 kia sorento The interior was plenty roomy, too, with comfortable headrests, and the third row has decent accommodations as well. The Sorento is a particularly quiet crossover, and the whole car just feels reassuring, safe and predictable to drive--you won‘t find any untoward road behavior here. It just plain feels good to drive, and the size is just right for urban driving. One more thing. The Sorento is a head-turner, too. While the styling could not be considered ground breaking, it is classically sophisticated and elegant, too. In fact, people took second glances wherever we went. Try as we might, we found absolutely nothing to criticize  in this car. Kia‘s got yet another winner here.
