Tough month for some carmakers in November

November sales reports show a mixed bag of news for global automakers selling their vehicles in the United States. Volkswagen of North America reported November U.S. sales of 29,672 units, an increase of 24.2 percent over November, 2015. Meanwhile, luxury automaker Jaguar Land Rover  reported November  sales for both brands hit 9,040 units, a 19  percent increase from November, 2015, making it the best ever Jaguar Land Rover U.S November sales month. But  FiatChrysler (FCA US LLC) today reported U.S. sales of 160,827 units, a 14 percent decrease compared with sales in November 2015 (187,731 units). FCA US retail sales of 126,780 units were down 2 percent year over year in November, representing 79 percent of total sales for the month.
