Looking for a really cool compact to midsized crossover with [pizzazz for a relatively low price?

Let’s introduce you to the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T Ultimate.

It’s a really sharp, contemporary, well-made and quite sexy looking crossover which costs $39,875–not bad for a top of the line model with quite a bit of desirable, up to the minute equipment and technology.

The Santa Fe Sport  is powered by a 2.0T 2.0 liter turbocharged, direct injection four cylinder putting out 240 …

Tried, true, familiar–and fun.

Pretty much sums up the Toyota RAV4 compact utility vehicle, don’t you think?

We do.  We just finished a test drive of the 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited with all wheel drive, and we could not have been more pleased.

The RAV4, in our view, is one of the top contenders in the CUV end of the market, but it especially shines when it comes to sporty, lively driving–especially this Hybrid version.  It’s faster than the conventional …

Looking for a bargain compact sedan with cool looks, unusually modern and enticing interior and a driving personality that invites you to be sporty?

Look no further than Toyota’s Yaris iA sedan.

This one, I will tell you, was a real surprise for me.  First, the styling.  Really well done with nice, flowing lines, appropriate character lines, and asignature front end look that stands apart from what everybody else is doing.  It looks quite a bit like the recently departed …

One of the great mysteries of the automotive industry that really stumps me is why Fiat doesn’t sell more cars.

Every time I pick up the paper or read industry news, it seems that Fiat sales are steadily dropping.

But one bright star for me–and I think it may well prove to be a godsend for the brand–is the little 500x crossover.

Its a really fun looking, sexy car that does what it is supposed to do quite well, and provides …

Ford’s 2017 Escape is a classic made all new for this model year.

It’s got all the stuff we all loved about Escape:  Zippy performance, good looks, terrific gas mileage, and a contemporary zest that a lot of its competitors just did not have.

For 2017, Nissan’s popular Rogue is a heck of a lot roguish–lowercase “r” intended.

With more dramatic styling,  big upgrades in the interior, and more refinement overall, the compact CUV Rogue is a big player in the compact CUV market, and for good reason.  It’s right-sized, reasonably nimble in the urban road and highway jungle, it’s very comfortable, and as you can see, pretty good looking–enough to make us think of a small Volvo wagon.

For 2017, there were a …

If ever there was a car that will make you feel like you stepped right into the middle of the 21st century–ion other words, light years ahead–it’s the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

Sure it’s the looks—they are truly unlike anything else on the road, whether you are talking minivans or just any car. But it’s also the wealth of technology, almost overwhelming in quantity and quality. We mean everything from the KeySense system aimed squarely at driver teens, which …

There is much to be said for sticking to your guns in the face of challenges.

That much can certainly be said of the 2017 Chrysler 300C Platinum.

It has a classic styling theme that has held up more than well over the years.  It is arguably the most accessible–financially and emotionally–luxury car involved.  Though its technology is both plenteous and new, and it is chock full of the latest everything, it is presented in a way that is not …

Why?  Durability.  Ruggedness. A four wheeled friend that seemingly can do everything you ask of it—and more.

We got a chance to drive the latest iteration of America’s best seller, and it was quite a revelation.
